Can you imagine the following scenario and provide an answer/commentary, please?

You've just found out at that your best friend has been lying to you about what they do for a living. They haven't been working in an office as they claimed to be, but, rather, they've been paying the bills as a hard core pornographic actor. They have, once and for all, for whatever reason, decided to come clean about things and not lie about it again. That, and they have no intention whatsoever of changing careers any time soon. Do you stay friends with them? Can you appear in public places with then, introduce them to family, friends, coworkers? Without lying about what they do (because questions will inevitably be asked), asking them to do the same?
